Ephesians 3:20-21 (NLT)
20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
Now all glory to God… Now all glory to God… and verse 21 starts Glory to him… Now all glory to God and glory to him… This incredible doxology that ends this incredible prayer in Ephesians Chapter 3, is actually about giving God glory! It’s about exalting our God, exalting his name, putting his glory on display. It’s about us being a witness to his glory, us testifying of his magnificence, of his glory, of his unspeakable, indescribable glory.
Guys, were made to glorify God. The Church was created as the Body of Christ to glorify God. And when God brings himself glory through us as the Church, and in Christ Jesus, that glory will extend through all generations forever and ever.
Now, all glory to God… Glory to him in the Church… Now all glory to God who is able… God is able. God is able. In that situation that you’re thinking of, that you’re dealing with right now, in that circumstance that you are in right now – God is able. God is more than able. And if you’re thinking about a circumstance or a situation in your life right now, would you just say with me, “God is able. God is able. God is more than able.”
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us… That mighty power of God that’s at work within us has a name. And his name is the Holy Spirit. And he is the same power that God used to raise Christ from the grave. And so, we say, Now all glory to God, who is able, (who is more than able) through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Our God is able, through his mighty power… that mighty power of the Holy Spirit at work within us to accomplish infinitely more than we can ever even ask or think. All for his glory. All for his glory.
And glory to him in the Church… Guys, we are the Body of Christ. We are the vehicle through which God brings glory to himself on earth, and we were made to glorify him, both individually and as the Church. May we bring glory to him in the Church and in Christ Jesus… Christ Jesus birthed the Church. Through his victory over sin, and death, and the grave Jesus Christ became the Head of the Church, and we are his Body. We are his Bride. And when we glorify God as the Church and in Christ Jesus, that glory will endure for all generations forever and ever. It is all for his glory. All that God does through his mighty power at work within us to accomplish infinitely more than we could ever ask or think it is all for his glory!
