Encountering The Father
1 John 5:11
Week 10/Day 5
1 John 5:11 (NLT)
11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
Hey, y’all, it’s Daisy. And for today’s Encountering the Father section, I want you to think about what first drew you to Christ. What is your testimony? Who were the important people involved? And what about them made you want to give your life to Christ? I think it is really important to reflect on who we were before we were Christians.
And even if you were raised in the Church, how did being raised in the Church shape you? And did you stray away? I did. And how did you find your way back? What made you into the person that you are today?
I think it’s important to reflect on those things because as we move forward as Christians, I think it’s important to remember why we started this and what really captured our heart. And usually, I think it is profound love. We encountered something where we just really felt truly known, or seen, or loved – even if that came with some pain and some conviction.
And so, I just want you to think about that and then look at how you are as a Christian and the message and the signal that you’re sending as one. Is it one of love? And would your life and the way that you’re living and your actions and your words – would it be inspiring to someone else to embrace God and to follow Jesus? So, that’s what I’m writing about today and what I would like you to write about too.
