Sunday Sermon
Isaiah 50:4-5

Week 9/Day 7

Hey everyone, it’s Tricia and I hope you can make it to church today. If you have an Alone With God journal, be sure to take it with you because there’s a place for you to take Notes, a spot for Key Points and Key Verses, and an area for Prayer For The Coming Week. And, if you don’t have one and would like to order an Alone With God journal, you can do that at wordbymail.com.

If you can’t make it to church today, you can watch Pastor Dave’s 4th message in the Revelation series titled, Faithful In Suffering.” Jesus knows what those suffering in the Church today are going through and he says, “I know. Do not fear what is ahead of you. Be faithful to the end.”

You can watch or listen to this message addressed to the Church of Smyrna by clicking the link in this audio guide’s description. If you don’t see the link, you can watch or listen to it on the WordByMail phone app by typing Faithful In Suffering in the search icon. You can do that on the website also at wordbymail.com.

Let’s get a bit of encouragement from Isaiah Chapter 50, verses 4 and 5 today, and then I’ll pray to close.

Isaiah 50:4-5 (NLT)
4 The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will.
5 The Sovereign Lord has spoken to me, and I have listened. I have not rebelled or turned away.

Lets pray.

Father God, we thank you for giving us your words of wisdom so that we can know how to comfort the weary. Help us to breathe freshness into those lives. We praise you and thank you for waking us each morning, Lord, and showing us your will, and giving us the wisdom and understanding to accomplish it. Thank you, Lord, that you speak to us. Help us to listen and do what you say. Help us to not ignore you, or refuse your instruction, Lord. For your glory, and in your name, Jesus, we pray, amen.
