This Week
Psalm 119:15
Week 9/Day 1
Hi everyone. It’s Tricia, along with Daisy. Thanks for joining us today. And we’re here with another Alone With God journal guide for you. If you’ll open your Alone With God journal to your page titled “This Week.” Grab your Bible and a pen; we’ll be ready to go. If you don’t have an Alone With God journal and would like one, you can contact us at wordbymail.com and order one there.
So, this page titled “This Week” begins with a section that says My Prayers Are: and in this area for the week ahead, I wrote down that I would like some guidance and wisdom for the week ahead, as I have things ahead of me this week. Some travel mercies for friends that are traveling today, and I have down some salvation requests for specific friends and some family. And then, I have other requests on here from church and from my small group to keep them in mind and pray for them for the week.
And then My Spiritual Focus Is: is another area that’s really great. You can just write down for the week ahead where you want to keep your mind and your spirit focused at. And for me, I’m keeping my focus on Christ and listening for the Holy Spirit’s prompting in my life. So, that’s me.
Now, you’re going to go ahead and pause the recording, take some time, write in both of these areas for your week ahead, and then come on back.
Alright, if you have your Bible, open it to Psalm 119. Daisy is going to be reading verse 15 today and then close us out in prayer. Here’s Daisy.
Psalm 119:15 (ESV)
15 I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.
Let’s pray.
Dear God, forgive me. Forgive me for allowing my thoughts to distract me from you. Thank you for your presence and your loving guidance. Help me to keep my attention focused on you. Help me to model my thoughts after your thoughts and to trust you with my path as I navigate life’s journey. I trust you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
