What Am I Grateful For

Week 7/Day 6

Hi everyone, it’s Tricia with another Alone With God journal guide for this week. Let’s turn in our journals to Day 6 – the “What Am I Grateful For This Week?” page. As you land on that page, you’ll see that it’s very simply set up. The top half says Answered Prayers, and below that is a whole bunch of lines for you to write on.

So, in that top section box, you’ll want to notate any of the prayers that you have been pouring out to God – or that maybe you said quickly – and there he was, and he’s answered. And sometimes that’s even a “wait” or a “maybe.” So, you’ll want to write those down here. It’s a great way to look back over your weeks as you flip back through the journals and see what he’s doing in your lives. See where he’s moving. Sometimes, we can join him in that process, right?

Now, the rest of those lines, let’s address that. We can always be grateful to God for something, right? We can look back through our week and maybe find one, or two, or three things or a whole bunch to be grateful for. But I would encourage you to write at least three different things that you can be grateful to God for – for this week and get that written down here.

Listen, I want to close us out with 2 Peter 1:3 (NLT). And then, I’m going to pass it off to Daisy to close for us in prayer.

2 Peter 1:3 (NLT)
3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

God, thank you for your amazing power. Thank you for the work that you are doing in our lives. Thank you for your goodness and for your blessings. Thank you for your great love and your care. Thank you for your sacrifice so that we might have the freedom and the life that you have chosen for us. Forgive us when we don’t thank you enough. Help us to set our eyes on you. Help us to keep you in our hearts. Renew our spirit. Fill us up with your peace and your joy. We love you, and we need you this day and every day. We give you praise; we give you thanks, for you alone are worthy. In Jesus’ name, amen.
