Well, hey, y'all. It is Daisy. I am coming at you live from Nashville, Tennessee, inviting you to join me once again as we open our Bibles, open our hearts, and open our minds so we can spend some quality alone time with God together. So, as usual, all you need to follow along is a Bible, a pen, a designated journal, and some good listening ears.

So, today we are going to be meditating on John 10, verse 10. I will read it, and then you will read it on your own and meditate on it.
John 10:10 (NIV)
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Read that again, slowly and carefully, on your own. Now, in the Meditate section of your journal, write down what God’s Word is saying. What are the spiritual principles here?
Y’all, this world seems to have such an overwhelming number of solutions for our problems. And they’re all contradictory. Eat more. Eat less. Save your money. Buy this thing. Buy this other thing. It’s just endless.
But Jesus simplifies our choices, and he brings us peace in the midst of all of this worldly chaos. His only purpose was to come to earth, not just to give us life, but to give us an abundance of life. So, no worldly temptation or distraction, or marketing manipulation tactic can even satisfy us in the way that Jesus can because his satisfaction is eternal. And when we take our eyes off of God, that’s when we fall victim to the things that harm us and that steal our joy.
So, how can you apply this scripture to your own life? Have you ever experienced harm from seeking something, some kind of satisfaction outside of God? And what does it mean to you to have life to the fullest? What does that mean? So, in the Appy section of your journal page, write down your thoughts. What stands out to you about this passage? How does this apply to your life today, personally and specifically?
Okay, now that we have applied God’s Word to our lives, we’re going to take a moment and respond to God with action. So, what are you willing to do to honor and protect your relationship with God? In what ways are your joy and this gift of abundant life being stolen from you by meaningless distractions and temptations that are never going to leave you really satisfied? How do you put those things away and really focus your attention on being one with Christ? So, in the Respond section of your journal, write down your plan of action for this week in applying this verse.
Finally, we are going to close out in prayer. I will pray for us first. Then in the Pray section of your journal, you will take the last few minutes and write out your prayer to God to align your heart with the will of God on this truth in this verse.
So, let’s pray.
Jesus, thank you. Thank you that you are the only one that can satisfy me. Only you are everlasting. Help me to live this life that you bought for me with your blood to the fullest. Give me a life that never leaves me wanting more. Satisfy me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
