Peace
John 16:33
In a world that is filled with chaos, and violence, and pain, it is such a comfort to know that we have access to the peace of Christ. That every day we are covered and protected and hidden under the wings of God, and that he surrounds us with his peace that surpasses all understanding. So, let’s say a prayer for peace today.
John 16:33 (NIV)
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Let’s pray.
Lord, thank you for your promises. Thank you for your promises of peace. And thank you for giving me your perfect peace that abides in my soul and that rules over my heart. Lord, I will not be shaken by the circumstances that surround me. You will crown me with your peace. And I will walk in the peace that you have graciously given to me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
