What Am I Grateful For?
Psalm 90:14
Week 4/Day 6
Hi everyone, it’s Tricia with another Alone With God journal guide. If you have an Alone With God journal, please turn it to the page titled “What Am I Grateful For This Week?” Remember, if you would like to order the journal, you can do so at wordbymail.com.
This page is Day Six in the journal, and today we will begin with a prayer from Daisy. Let me send it to Daisy, and I’ll return when she is finished.
Psalm 90:14 (NIV)
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all of our days.
Let's give praise to God.
Lord, thank you that you satisfy me in the morning with your unfailing love. God, you are my cup and my portion forever. No matter what the day brings, you will fill my heart with joy and gladness because you will remind me of how good and faithful you have been to me my whole life. You will never give up on me. You will never leave me. You will never forsake me because that is who you are. You are a loyal, loving, merciful God, and I'm your creation. Thank you for making me. And thank you for making this day. I will rejoice in you always. And I will love you forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.
That’s just awesome. I love starting the day with Praise! Thank you, Daisy.
Let’s look at the page titled “What Am I Grateful For This Week?” Go ahead and turn there, and the first thing is to write down your Answered Prayers from this week. Just look back over your week, see where God was moving, and thank him for answering your prayers. And if it seems God hasn’t answered your prayers this week, this is a good place to cry out to him again and bring those things before the Lord.
And then, in the note space below, you can write what else you are grateful for this week. It’s so good to stop and reflect on what you have to be grateful to God for this week, and this is a fantastic place to write those things down.
And I know that (pause) when we’re in a dark place, it can be hard to focus on being grateful for anything. If this is where you are this week, I want you to know I’ve been there (a lot). I think one of the best practices I got into was simply looking for three things to be grateful for. So, I encourage you, no matter your situation or circumstances, to find at least three things to be grateful to God for and write those down in this space in your journal.
I pray for us this day that you can find plenty of things to be grateful for this week – for the things he has done, is doing and will do in your life and the lives of those around you. Keep the faith, and be blessed today. I’ll talk with you next time. Take care, bye.
