What Am I Grateful For This Week?
Philippians 4:19

Week 3/Day 6

Hi everybody, it’s Pastor Dave. And it is “What am I Grateful For?” day in your Alone With God journal. So, turn your journal to the page titled, “What Am I Grateful For This Week?” And if you don’t have an Alone With God journal, just go to wordbymail.com and order yourself one.

So, today we want to just take a minute to ask, What Am I Grateful For This Week? What prayers has God answered? How have I seen God work this week? What can I thank God for this week?

So, let me start by reading a verse from our “Promises to Pray” page in the very back of your Alone With God journal. And then, we’ll pray through that verse, and then you can write what you’re grateful for to God this week.

So, in the very back, in the “Promises to Pray” pages, look for Philippians 4, verse 19. Find that, or you can open it in your Bible and let me read it, and then I’ll pray through it for us.

Philippians 4:19 (NLT)
19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Alright, let’s pray through that verse together.

Heavenly Father, you are a good, good Father. And I know, Lord, that you will meet all of my needs according to your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. And Lord, please show me today that you are meeting all of my needs according to your glorious riches in Christ. Not my wants, Lord, not my worldly needs, but all of my needs according to your glorious riches. Show me today, Lord, that you are with me. Show me, Lord, that you are at work around me. And show me, Lord, that you are meeting my true eternal needs. Help me see past the temporary difficulties and struggles of this temporary life, and help to see, Lord, that you are meeting my true eternal needs in Jesus. And please help me to be grateful today. In your name, Jesus, I pray, amen.

Alright, so take a few minutes. Look at your “Grateful” page and think what can you be grateful for this week. What can you thank God for this week? In what area can you acknowledge that God is meeting your true and eternal needs in Christ?

Alright, you think and talk to God and write on your “Grateful” page in your journal, and I will see you soon. Bye-bye.
