What Am I Grateful For? Wk01 - Psalm 65:8

What Am I Grateful For This Week?
Psalm 65:8

Week 1/Day6

Hi, everybody, it’s Pastor Dave with another Alone With God journal guide. If you haven’t ordered your journal yet, please do so. The best place to get the journal is on the Word By Mail phone app. Download the Word By Mail app in your app store, order your journal, and if you have one already, then turn it to the page titled, "What Am I Grateful For This Week?"

This is our day six page, and we want to start today in our "What Am I Grateful For?" page with some encouragement and a prayer from Daisy. So, let me pass it over to Daisy, and I’ll be back when she’s finished.

Psalm 65:8 (NIV)
8 The whole world is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.

How we get up in the morning matters, and how we go to sleep matters. It is time to stand in awe of God. So, let’s be in awe of him together.

Lord, thank you for your creation. God, you are our Creator. Thank you for the beauty of this world. Lord, remind me every morning that I am greeted with a glimpse of your power. Lord, let me bask in your glory. Help me to take time to slow down, to move my focus away from my distractions, and to sit in the of your joy and the wonder of your creation. Thank you for making me a new day. I pray you will go with me wherever I go and show me how great you are through what you have made. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Oh man, that is good, isn’t it? Thank you, Daisy, for that.

Now let’s focus on the page titled "What Am I Grateful For This Week?" Turn to that page in your journal, and first, write down your Answered Prayers from this week. Look back over your week, and thank God for answering your prayers.

And then, what else can you write on this page that you are grateful to God for? Maybe you’ll want to listen to Daisy’s prayer one more time for inspiration, for a reminder. But just stop for one minute today, and consider what do you have to be grateful to God for this week, and write that down here.

Guys, we all have plenty to be grateful for each and every week. May we always be grateful to God for all that he has done, for all that he is doing, and all that he has promised to do. God bless you, guys. By-bye.
