Praying Psalm 62

Praying Psalm 62:5-8

We are praying through Psalm 62:5-8. Grab a Bible, a notebook or journal, and something to write with. Prepare to meet with God in a real, interactive, and meaningful way.

Psalm 62:5-8 (NLT)
5 Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.
6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.
7 My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
8 O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.

Oh Lord, God, only you give me inward peace, Lord. Only you give me peace that passes understanding, the peace that comes from you inside, Lord. And so, God, let all that I am wait quietly before you because you alone are my hope, Lord. And so, I’ll depend on you. And I’ll wait as long as you say wait – I’ll wait on you, Lord, for my hope comes from you, alone.

Lord, you alone are my rock. You alone are my salvation. You are the solid rock under my feet. You are my firm foundation, the rock on which I stand. And so, Lord, I will stand on you alone because you alone are my fortress. You hem me in on all sides. In you alone I am safe and I will not be shaken.

Lord, my victory, my help, and my honor, Lord, come from you alone. Lord, you are my refuge. You are my safe harbor. You are my rock where no enemy can reach me.

So, I will trust in you, alone, Lord. I will trust in you alone, and I will trust in you completely. And I will trust in you at all times. And Lord, I will pour out my heart to you. I will lay out my life for you, Lord. For you alone are my refuge. You are my fortress, Lord, you are my strong tower, my rock of defense, Lord. You are my place of safety, Lord.

Lord, Jesus, I am rock-solid secure in you alone. And Lord, I will rest in you alone, and I will trust in you alone. And I will wait on you alone because, Lord, my hope and my peace come from you alone. Nothing else. Nothing from outside, nothing in this world, no accomplishment, Lord, no circumstance – but in you. And so, Lord, I will cling to you. Wait on you. Trust in you. Hope in you. And my peace will come from you. Thank you, Jesus. Be glorified in my life. In your precious name, amen.
